# Horizontal floats of images in PDF (LaTeX) output.

 zivbk1 Dec 13, 2016 at 2:47 AM So I am trying to float a Figure to the left and have the text wrap around it to the right. This works great in the HTML output with the float parameter, but I don't see an obvious way to do it in the PDF output. This is what I came up with that is somewhat effective. ~ HtmlOnly ~~ Figure { #fig-butterfly; float:left; caption:"A Monarch butterfly."; page-align:forcehere;} ![butterfly] ~~ ~ ~ TexRaw \begin{wrapfigure}[14]{L}{0.3\textwidth} \centering \includegraphics[width=0.3\textwidth]{images/butterfly.png} \caption{\label{fig-butterfly}This is a figure caption.} \end{wrapfigure} ~ A problem with this is that the Figure reference works in HTML, but is broken in the PDF output. Is there a better way to accomplish this with the Figure block? zivbk1 Dec 13, 2016 at 3:28 AM I think I found it here. http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/people/daan/madoko/doc/reference.html#sec-float zivbk1 Dec 16, 2016 at 10:30 PM Here is an example that I used that worked in HTML and PDF versions of the file. Posting this in case others have the same question. ~ Figure { #fig-butterfly; caption:"A Monarch butterfly."; float:left; page-align:forcehere; width:9em; tex-wrap-lines:13; tex-wrap-placement:inside; } ![butterfly] ~ [butterfly]: images/butterfly.png "butterfly" { width:8em }
